Our Mission is to cultivate responsible regional economic development and resource conservation.
It makes all the difference in your project
For more than 40 years, Beartooth RC&D has provided business technical assistance and community development services in South Central Montana. We know the ins and outs of community and economic development, and our knowledge can make the difference between a successful, well-planned project and a costly one.
1969 - Beartooth RC&D begins as a unique partnership with the USDA Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) to serve Carbon and Stillwater Counties
1990 - Sweet Grass County is added to the service area
1991 - Yellowstone County is added to the service area
1993 - Big Horn County is added to the service area
1996 - Montana Department of Commerce designation as a Certified Regional Development Corporation
1996 - Economic Development Administration designation as an Economic Development District
2011 - Moved away from the NRCS model
We know our reputation and continued support is only as good as the outcomes of past projects. That's why we pride ourselves on a results-oriented approach.
Beartooth RC&D is sponsored and directed by local people as a regional vehicle to improve the economic and social conditions through the conservation, utilization, and development of the natural and human resources of the area.
